The County Clerk/Recorder/Assessor is a joint position responsible for recording and maintaining county records, including birth, marriage, civil union, and death certificates. Other duties include maintaining records of assessment values for all the parcels of land in the County.
Eligibility requirements
A candidate must be 18 years of age; a citizen of the state; and (a) an elector of the county in which the duties of the office are to be exercised; or (b) in the case of an office consolidated between two or more counties, an elector in one of the counties in which the duties of the office are to be exercised.
