Eligibility requirements
US citizen. At least 21 years old. Resident of county one year prior to person's election. Must be a person learned in the law, duly licensed to practice as an attorney at law in the state, and not in arrears for Any taxes, lien, forfeiture, or defalcation in office, municipal user feed. Must never have been convicted, found guilty, or plead guilty to a felony or misdemeanor under the federal laws of the United States. Have no outstanding campaign disclosure reports due from any prior elections.
