Job description
The Supreme Court of Arkansas is responsible for all appeals involving the interpretation of the state constitution, criminal appeals for which the death penalty or life imprisonment have been imposed, appeals pertaining to elections and election procedures, appeals involving the discipline of attorneys-at-law and or arising under the power of the Supreme Court to regulate the practice of law;appeals involving the discipline of attorneys or judges, subsequent appeals which have been decided by the Supreme Court. It may also accept certain appeals from the Court of Appeals.
Eligibility requirements
Candidate must be a qualified elector, resident of the geographic area in which they are running, at least 18 years old, and a licensed attorney in Arkansas for at least 8 years.
